EMS Open House - Eureka Vol Fire & Ambulance

Event description:

Come join the staff of Eureka Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company as we celebrate Emergency Medical Services Week. This is also the 100th anniversary for our company so this is a special year for us.

We will be hosting numerous events throughout the week that showcase EMS services. The events during the week include:

- Community CPR (date and time to be announced)
- Senior Center visit to discuss safety calling services and preventing falls
- Visit to Kidsville Junction daycare center to discuss what EMTs are with the kids
- Visit to Stewartstown Elementary to discuss EMS with the kids and to present safety messages on sports injuries and drugs
- Blood presure screening at various locations throughout the week

Our open house will events for all ages. They include:

- Finger printing for children
- Blood presure screening
- Safety information on falls, sports injuries, drug education, child safety seats, bike safety
- Safety City for kids on bikes and skate boards to discuss safe riding in town
- Dunk tank featuring local officials and teachers
- Visit by StatMed helicopter
- Equipment displays by our ambulances and Medic 97 from York Hosptital
- Child safety seat inspections (tentative)
- Visit by the Southern Regional K9 unit (tentative)
- Fire safety house
- Meet your local EMS, Fire, Juniors, Ladies Auxillary and Police staff

Pit beef, ham and turkey, hot dogs, chips and sodas will be available for purchase. Free snow cones and balloons.
