Good tailor? Bad dry cleaner.

Does anyone know of a good tailor in the area?

My husband took his suits to the cleaners (the one by WalMart) and one came back with a small hole in the upper sleeve. The people there had a fit when he took it back there and complained. He said he just wanted it fixed. They were yelling and carrying on but he couldn’t understand, for obvious reasons, what they were saying, but they kept saying it was moths. Yea, right. It looks like a burn hole. I just love the way people stand by their products or business. Doesn’t anyone ‘own’ their mistakes anymore?

Anyway, we need a tailor to hopefully fix it before May. Any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Real-life property tax stories

South Eastern Tax Reform Coalition (SETRC) is one of 26 members of both the Pennsylvania Coalition of Taxpayers Associations (PCTA) and the Pennsylvania Taxpayers Cyber Coalition (PTCC). The PCTA is dedicated to the support of House Bill 1275, the School Property Tax Elimination Act, legislation that will abolish school property taxes in Pennsylvania and will equitably replace a broken education finance system. Property taxes WILL be debated again before the legislative summer break.

In late March 2008, the PTCC and PCTA asked homeowners to send us their real-life stories telling how relentlessly increasing school property taxes are affecting their quality of life. These stories demonstrate that halfway measures like HB 1600 will not get the job done - ONLY elimination will do. You can read “the real faces of the school property tax issue” at http://mysite.verizon.net/drbsr/PTCCWeb/stories.htm

Decided to try the new Sal’s pizza in Shrewsbury last night. It was not a good experience! Went to sit down and the table was filthy! The food was not that great, My daughter’s pizza tasted like the bowling alley pizza. They did not have straws because, someone spilled them all over the floor. (You would think they would have some more in stock) The waitress was also very unproffessional. Everything was very dirty! ( do not use the bathrooms!!) A very bad experience and would not recomend anyone to go there and we will not return!!!

P.S. An excerpt from an article in the “Bulletin - Philadelphia’s Family Newspaper” (http://www.thebulletin.us/site/news.cfm?newsid=18966612&BRD=2737&PAG=461&dept_id=576361&rfi=6):
“Mr. Rohrer’s bill initially drew some controversy from Democrats and liberal Republicans for its earlier broadening of state sales taxes to include a 3 percent tax on food and clothing. That item, however, has been dropped from the bill.

Instead, the Rohrer measure would raise revenue by broadening the current 6 percent sales tax to include items that are now exempt, such as health club memberships and attorneys’ fees. The bill also includes a 0.003 percent increase in the state income tax.”
