I’ve been asked why I don’t publish statistics about the number of visitors to SYC Life.  While I certainly could do that, I guess I think of it as a bit tacky.  But for the curious, here are a few numbers from July 2007:

Sessions (sort of like independent visits to the site): 512 / day
Pageviews: 2,506 / day
Hits (useless as a traffic measure in my view): 8,713 / day
60% of traffic is in the forums
700 visits came from search engine referrals (500 from Google)

Just thought I’d share since someone asked…

Not tacky at all Dan.  This site has come a long way since I joined a couple of years ago.  It’s a fact, many folks from Southern York County depend on this site to gather information, voice views, etc.  Job well done.

Family Friend
Extended Family
Immediate Family

Family Friend begins at 30
Extended Family begins at 100
Immediate Family begins at 250

Since I’m considered “Immediate Family” does this mean that I can get help paying for my kids college.

Or does this just mean that you will look at called id and answer the phone if I call.

Actually I was thinking maybe I could get help with my son’s college from some of the “Immediate Family”!  After all, I believe you’ve got a few years to go, and my youngest is in college right now!  Hmmm...I’m feeling old...and poor…

But on the bright side.

The will graduate soon, get a great paying job, move out, get married, create grandkids for you.
And once they move out you can rent out their room to help get out of debt that was incurred to put them through college.
