We’re there every Friday for the chicken special. (Yummm). Don’t care for a lot of the other food, but that’s me I guess. We never have issues with the service. Usually have the same waitress. Ask for Rose!
We went to the new restaurant and it was just like being at the old Shrewsbury Family Restaurant only better! The place was very busy but we didn’t have to wait to be seated.
Mediterraneo in Felton, it’s pretty much the only business in Felton. If you’re coming in from Cross Roads it’s right after you cross the bridge on the left, right at the end of Main St. You can’t really miss it no matter what direction you come from though, there’s about 2 whole roads in Felton, lol.
Before that it was a really overpriced restaurant with bad food and service called Felton Country Corner if I remember correctly. Before that an antique store, and long ago I vaguely remember it being a Dodge dealer. I hope this restaurant stays, so far it seems really good and appears to be doing great business.
i have yet to try it, but i’ve heard alll goood things about their foood/prices/service.
I’ve been going to the Taylor House since I was was old enough to eat at a table, I’ve never had a bad experiance. For a new Italian reasturant, try Franks in Winterstown. They have fresh baked subs, and great wings !!!!!!
We ate there a few weeks ago. It was ok, nothing really to write home about. The waitress could’ve been better. But to her defense, our table had 10 people and she just got done serving a table of 9. I’d probably go back, but not for awhile.
Baseball-type caps. Not necessarily with baseball insignias. I am not sure what you call them.
They looked like grown-up Leave it to Beavers eating dinner with their caps on.

I am only 43, but I can remember getting my hat slapped off of my head by Mom or Dad in a restaurant when I was a kid. I see Stephen’s point.
Children are not taught the most basic of “manners” anymore, and you can see it flowing over to the working world as well. When you go into a grocery store or fast food place and the kid says comes to the register and says “yeah, what do you need?” or they constantly answer with “yep” if you are lucky. I have been through entire transactions at places where the kid does not say a word and when I say thank you when I get my change they say “yep”.
The only exception to the rule seems to be Chik-Fil-A. They are trained to be very kind and when you say thank you the response is almost always, “It is my pleasure!” It is quite refreshing to hear.
Chick-Filet has a different outlook on life in general. Check out their philosophy and such on their website. The other morning, three of their managers were at Forrest and Mt. Airy handing out sample chicken minis and saying “Merry Christmas”. No “Happy Holidays” or anything like that. Just good, honest and hearty greetings.
I always like how they are willing to pay fines in malls because they refuse to be open on Sundays. They stick to their guns and do not compromise their values.
