Big difference in Energy Usage

A couple years ago I put a drop down ladder for access to the attic.
It was in the closet and the opening was already built.  I just had to install.
That closet (walkin) was always very cold in the winter.  Really just 1/8 inch
board between space and attic.  I purchased an attic door insulator. 

WOW what a difference!

Such an obvious thing but overlooked on my part. Thanks for the reminder..

I sealed an opening around my screen door the other day and wow what a difference. My temporary solution of closing the main front door while
a solution was certainly not a good solution. It seemed that my family that wanted to go outside, let the light in etc…

I cut out a hole in my garage ceiling… Perhaps this just get fixed too....

I guess I now have my “honey do” list for a warm Saturday…
