1st Annual Charity “Penny for Your Thoughts” Photo Contest to benefit Animal Rescue, Inc. of Greater Baltimore, MD and York, PA.

This year’s theme:  “Pets”

Dogs, cats, birds, horses, lizards, whatever your favorite pet may be - do you have a great picture to share?

Drop off or mail entries to: Country Road Photography
16 N. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361

Entry Fee:  $5.00

Deadline for submitting photos:  February 29, 2008

Prizes for 1st Place, 2nd Place and Honorable Mention (prizes to be determined.)

All entries will be on display and open to judging during the month of March, at 16 N. Main St., Shrewsbury.  We encourage you, friends, family and the community to stop in and vote for your favorite photo by dropping a penny in the corresponding jar.  The entry with the most ‘pennies” votes will win.  All proceeds will be donated to Animal Rescue, Inc.  All entries will be available for pick-up after the conclusion of the contest.  Country Road will hold all photos for 30 days following the event.

RULES

1. No professional photos accepted.  2. Anyone affiliated with Country Road Photography and/or the sponsors of this event are not eligible to participate. 3.  Deadline for entries is Feb. 29th (no exceptions.) 4. Only 4X6 photographs will be accepted (no exceptions).

Marge ~ What are the business hours for Country Road Photography?

I’m sorry I failed to include those.  Country Road Photography and the Shops @ 16 N. Main is open 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM everyday, except Wednesdays.

Just a reminder - if you are planning on entering, photos must be submitted by next Friday, February 29th.

The first annual “Penny for Your Thoughts” Photo Contest yielded $1221.74 for Animal Rescue!

Sponsors of the contest were Country Road Photography, John Shelly’s Garden Center, Endurance Auto, Home Depot, Giant Food, Brown’s Orchards, and Moby’s Pizza & Cream.
