ummm yeahhh uhhhhh wow.. we just had a cheesesteak and fries. I think they put the whole cow on the roll! The thing was huge! I think I wore more of it then I could get in my mouth. We thought it was good though and the fries are fresh cut, which is my favorite kind.

Just an idea for you your menu doesn’t list your address.  I gave one to a friend of mine and she noticed that.

By the way that was a great chicken parm.

Stopped by yesterday to try out the strawberry shortcake and ended up with dinner. My son ordered the cheeseburger sub and thought it was the best around. I had the cheese steak sub, wow !!! The best was saved for last, strawberry shortcake and sugar cookies. We can’t wait to go back for more. Good luck Mark! With that kind of food I don’t think that you will need luck. The only suggestion that I would have is that you don’t seem to be open on Sundays. Is that saved for race day?
It’s nice to see that you have young hardworking staff.

My friend and I had lunch today.  Ordered the cheese steak WOW was it huge!!!  It was great!!! The only thing we needed were bigger napkins.  We were lucky enough to be there when the cinimmon buns came out of the oven.  Thumbs up - it was good.  I brought a lemon merguin pie home and it is really good.  It’s really a great little place.  Can’t wait to go back and get some more goodies.  Good luck Mark - we will be back soon!!!

I’ve never been to Captain Harvey’s, but I am looking forward to trying that sub Mark!

Reading this thread is making me salivate.

I stopped by today also - had a cheeseburger sub and the homemade fries.  Not only were they tasty, the portions are huge.  I saw a few friends, too, which was nice.  And I bought a cinnamon roll on the way out for breakfast tomorrow.

I’ll be back, Mark, and I’m looking forward to it..

My mouth is watering!  I can’t wait to get a sub.  Plan on coming by this weekend.  One question? Do you guys use the “hots” that look like relish or those banana peppers?  I don’t know what PA is thinking when they call banana peppers “hots”.  The only thing I miss about Bmore is their cheesesteak subs!  I’m hoping I can find a replica at The Checkered Flag 500 Grill!” Will let you know!

Mmmmm, Capt. Harvey’s!!  Reminds me of when I worked by the port in Dundalk and we’d order there on Fridays.  Now I’m going to have to get my butt over to Fawn Grove and check it out!!!

I too ate lunch there and YUMMO!!!  I had the cheesesteak..wonderful, just wonderful.  The bread was awesome - cin. bun rocked and the strawberry pie I brought home is now all gone.  Mark - I loved it and can’t wait to bring the rest of my family down for some good grub.  Oh yeah and the prices weren’t bad either - got a fan here!!

To those that have been there (or own the place - hehe), how’s the parking?  We’ll be swinging by that way tonight, but we’ll be towing our camper on our way out.  Just don’t want to get in a situation where I’m stuck, but if there’s decent parking (I know space in town can be tight) I’d love to stop by on our way.  We were just talking about what to do for dinner tonight.

Bobby, mapquest the directions, it’s not in Fawn Grove proper.  It’s on New Park road.  You can’t miss it. Look for the checkered flags.  I think there is parking on the side you could swing a trailer into.

Bobby,

There is not too much room for a trailer.  The parking next to the building is private parking for the building owner.  If there is a downside about our opening this week it is the parking :( Sorry all!
