I’m looking to get rid of some old furniture, Sofa, Table etc… Not sure if any one local does any hauling. I don’t have the patience to wait until the massive garbage collection in May nor do I have the vehicle to get it there. I can put one piece in the trash once a week, per Penn Waste and pay an additional $20.00 per piece. That may get a little pricey, lol. Not even sure as to how I look this up in the Phone Book. Post here or drop me a PM if you know of someone local that can help me out, Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if you had any computer desks?  We are looking to get 1 for each of our sons for their rooms and don’t have the funds to purchase them.  I would be able to pick them up, no problem.  You can PM me and let me know.  Thanks!

If the furniture is in usable condition, you can donate it to Salvation Army - they’ll pick it up.  If not, there are always ads for haulers in the newspaper and the Community Courrier.

The borough has bulk trash every Friday.  You can put one large item per week at no additional cost.  If you dont live in the borough, then I guess you will to sit on it......

If the stuff is decent enough that someone else could use it you could try Freecycle (http://www.freecycle.org).  You can offer up pretty much anything that you have and if someone is interested they come by and pick it up.  A lot of times they will come the same day or within 48 hours to get your stuff.  Easy way to save some landfill space.

RSJ;

How about 1-800-GOT JUNK? I’ve seen some of their advertisements.

Thanks to everyone who replied, my best option so far is the Salvation Army(the stuff is in good condition, we just wanted upgrades) if they would answer the phone, lol If it falls through I worked it out with Penn Waste.

If anyone is interested or knows someone who may need a sofa, I could hold onto it for another week, all you have to do is pick it up. PM me sometime today if interested.
