I would like to see learn about those residents that are on the SYC Life Daily the following information:

a. Have you lived in Stewartstown all your life or moved here and how long you lived in the community
b. Your approximate age
c. Your educational background
d. Anything you can share about Stewartstown or the local area you find relevant

I would like this information to get a better idea of who I am communicating with on a daily basis.

Hi Katy.  Here you go.  Mine is quite boring.

a.  Moved to Stewartstown in Sept. 2001 from Parkton, MD.  Lived here 6 & 1/2 years.
b.  45
c.  High school diploma from Hereford High School.
d.  For the most part, my husband & I like Stewartstown.  We are still close to our parents’ (20 minutes), still within 30 miuntes drive time to work (on a good day).  It’s convenient to Baltimore & York.  I like the convenience of Shrewsbury too.  Been shopping/visiting in Shrewsbury since I was a kid so, it’s all still hometown territory to me even if I don’t still live in my hometown of Parkton.  Plus, my sister is a half mile around the corner from me.  For the most part, we have great neighbors except for one.  See below.  I love having a Starbucks in Shrewsbury.  And I love my old house!

Things we don’t like: the bad kids in the neighborhood.  One set of neighbors who loudly argue and have frequent vistis from both the S-town police and the state police.  The loud cars that race up and down our street.  The quality or lack thereof, of healthcare in PA.  We still go to Maryland for that!  I always say if something happens to me in PA, drive me over the line into MD so I don’t go to York or Memorial hospitals!

Check out the “Why are you here” thread. Lots of interesting comments about our town and it’s citizens.  So, tell us a little about yourself

Katy- the “why are you here” thread is great for info on backgrounds....but for you specifically-i have lived here since 1984-would recommend it to any new families for growing up-with the right parents, and morals, its a FABULOUS place to grow up.  I have a 7 and step 5 year old and i couldn’t be happier with my location.  im almost 30, have medical background and work close to home.  i dont leave southern pa unless i absolutely have to.  i have driven 83 for the past 15 years and as it used to be so common to me, now i dont need it or want it!!!! 
looking for friends?  now that the weather is nice the community building park is filled with moms/some dads, kids, fun, etc.  also enrolling in sports (ie soccer) is great, i have met alot of my good friends thru soccer!!!
