I wanted to find out from the community, for those who have children do you go to a Pediatrician in Maryland or PA. and any recommendations/referrals you can provide.

PA.
When we moved here we interviewed extensively due to our daughters’ difficulties.  We ended up with Pediatric Care of York.  They have an office in Shrewsbury that is open during normal hours, and an office at Leaders Heights that will see you the day that you call.  It may be as late as 2AM, but you will se a Dr. that day.

My children go to Pediatric care of York, also.  We have been happy there.

We go to Dr. Elizabeth Skinner at Spring Valley Family Medicine.  My 3 year old son loves her and the nursing staff is fantastic.  I’ve never had a problem getting in the same day for an appt, they’re even open weekends.  I have had some issues with being on hold with their front desk for quite some time, but they are aware of the problem and working on it.  I’ve seen some improvement in the last year.

my son has gone to Springdale Pediatrics since he was born-only negative is closest location is off leaders heights exit, george street before apple hill on right.  not bad-and they, as well, always have someone on call for an appointment.

I also recommend Southern Family Medicine (Nandita Kinley) while not being a pediatric specific dr-their office, doctors and staff are more than kid friendly, absolutely fabulous.  office never too busy, they dont double book so you can always get someone or get in if needed.... (across the st from walmart)

I went to Springdale Pediatrics until I was 23. (I probably shouldn’t admit that, but...) I also have friends that take their children there.  It’s part of the Wellspan organization now, so it’s a bit more corporately driven, but they don’t seem to have a lot of problems.

I also went to Springdale Pediatrics when I was a kid and my two boys go there now.  Very helpful and understand when there is a problem and will get you in quickly.  Two office locations - one near Apple Hill and one in Red Lion along Rt. 74.
