My name is Hope Harrison, and I’m a Membership Specialist for the York County Girl Scout Council.  I am currently partnering with local organizations, schools, and summer programs to provide Girl Scout programming to already existing programs.  I have thus far only found Camp Harp in your area.  If you know of anywhere else, please let me know so that I can work on networking with the organizations in your area.  Thanks so much, Hope

I’m not clear as to what you are looking for.  Just camps?  Does it have to be in York County or PA?  If not, there is Camp Puh’Tok in Monkton, MD which is in Northern Baltimore County and about 10 miuntes from exit 27 off of I-83.  It’s run by the Salvation Army but, when my daughter was in Girl Scouts in Maryland, they camped there.  Here is the link to the website:  http://www.camppuhtok.com/

I’m not looking just for camps, although camps are the most popular things for us to be involved in.  I’ve also been looking for public pools that would be willing to allow me to have a table there once a week for about a month, donig activities with the girls that are there.  I’m really open to any ideas.  I am, however, retricted to the York area.  Currently, I am looking for opportunities in the following school district areas:  South Eastern York, Southern York, Red Lion, Dallastown, and York Suburban.  Thanks again!

Hi Hope,

You could ask Stewartstown Elementary if you could put up a table at their May Daze event (held every May).  Other elementary shcools in SE may have similar events.

What about having something at the Eureka Carnival (usually in July)?

More info at their website:  http://www.eureka54.com/pages/events/home-details.html

What does it mean to provide programming to programs?
