Is there a health food store close by?

There used to be one in Shrewsbury Commons but I think UPS took that over.

Yes they do carry it. I just disposed of a bottle I purchased there.

If you know about colloidal silver then I am sure you know that you need to be very cautious about how you use it (as in sparingly). It does and will build up in your body over an extended about of time. To much of this solution is hard on the internal organs and can cause complications that are not reversible.

Natural Choice is another nice, smaller natural food store on Industrial Highway in York.  I am not sure if they carry it or not.

Exactly what is sparingly?  I know that if you use too much it will literally turn you blue.

I’ve never used it before but I’ve heard such great things about it I’m going to give it a try.

This guy obviously used too much.  Story

The amount you use depends on what you are using it for. If you purchase from a reputable health food store they should give you the guidelines for using it. If you are using it as an antibiotic its use would be no different than with any other prescription medication. Too much of even a good thing usually ends up not being a good thing after all.

Silver compounds have been used for a very long time to treat certain maladies. In one form it is used to treat burns. In another form it used to treat open wounds. Until the 1980’s a form of it was used in newborn’s eyes to prevent infection. The compounds/mixtures can come in a liquid or cream form. They also come in varying degrees of concentration. If you are going to use it make sure to purchase a good product ( it will be a little costly) but will also be the most effective.

So once again, what you purchase will depend on what your intent of use actually is.

There is a great deal of conflicting information about Colloidal Silver. I never rely on any information put out by a company that is manufacturing or selling the product directly. Before I began using it I researched it through medical/teaching hospitals including Hershey Medical Center, Mayo Clinic, and several other larger hospitals. And yes, it can turn the skin blue or gray. This is because the silver particles build up in the skin. I had my blood carefully monitored while I was using it and used it with my doctors knowledge. Everyone’s body reacts differently to substances we ingest. What might work for one person will not work for another.

Sonnewald’s has very knowledgeable people and can guide you in the proper use of Colloidal Silver. Be disciplined and cautious in its use. Check with your own doctor before you began using it especially if you take any other medications or have a chronic medical condition.

I am a firm believer in natural remedies but I also know that they are no different than regular medications. They can produce unwanted side effects.

I will be interested in knowing what you decide.

There’s also a Health Food store in Tollgate Village off of Leader Heights. They may carry what you’re looking for. Also, Saubels in Shrewsbury now has a GREAT organic, medicinal area that carries many of the things i see in specialty Health Food Stores.

What do you plan to use the Colloidal Silver for? Someone on the internet recommended a spray to treat skin problems on dogs. I bought a bottle of it and it turned out to be Colloidal Silver. I tried it on my dog, but she ended up licking it off and started throwing up. When I talked to my Vet about it he said he wouldn’t recommend using Colloidal Silver on man or animal. He said everything he read about it seemed to indicate it doesn’t work.

And a reputable health store should NOT be selling it as an antibiotic. According to the FDA, it can only be sold as “dietary supplement”.

That is correct......health food stores (or any other store for that matter) can only sell herbal and natural products as just that. They can not misrepresent the product or its use. They can also only “guide” not prescribe”. All natural products have their place. The misuse of these products can lead to trouble, not unlike over-the-counter medications or prescription drugs.
