It is difficult finding someone to get rid of bats for you because no one will kill them. I used to have them in the house when I lived in Catonsville, MD. What we were instructed to do was to let a rodent bomb off in the attick of our home just as the sun starts to go down. We stood outside and waited for it to go off. When it did, hundreds of bats flew out of the eaves of our house. We waited for the trickle to slow and once we believed they were all out, we used a ladder and put screens up at the eaves of our roof. For the next couple of weeks we found stragglers in the house that didn’t make it out, but once they stopped showing up, we didn’t have any more problems.
Oh, one more thing we did, was we bought a bat house. There really is such a thing. Just looks like a wooden box with openings at the bottom and each house can hold up to 50 or so bats. We placed that on the big tree in our yard, and we really did notice them using it. They stopped residing in our house and took up real estate in the bat house. So I recommend you get one of those. They are disgusting to have in the house, but really good to have around your house. They kill all the “bad” bugs you don’t want to share your yard with, so I highly recommend the bat house!
