Southern York County Life

I was raised in Louisiana - my favorite was mystery meat with rice and gravy.  Now that is GOOD!!!  On Friday - always some sort of Fish for those Catholic folks!

I guess I am the weird one (big surprise huh?). I was born and raised down south and the BEST thing the school cafeteria EVER cooked there was lima beans! I still eat them, but they just don’t taste the same as the school’s. We didn’t have all the goodies some of you guys seemed to have where you went to school, or even what they have at SESD. I went to a VERY rural school, and you basically “got what ya got”. But I still loved it when they had lima beans.

i remember my high school (towson) cafeteria served hot meals “cafeteria style” (go figure...) but it was so long ago i can’t remember what they served.
