Well, Well, Well

The voice of Stewartstown may have been heard.

I received a call from the Area Manager, who BTW is on Vacation. She wanted to know about my experience. I gave her my year long protest of eating in the store story as well as my latest complaint. I told her I was surprised I got a call since the other times I called I never got a response.

The real kicker…
I also told her about this thread and she confirmed(no names) that she has received at least 3 calls from the Stewartstown area alone today!

Anyway, she said she will be back from Vacation and she has put the Shrewsbury store on top of her priority list. She told me to tell you all that.

So we’ll see, nice job for those of you who let em know we’re tired of that store’s conditions.

eEL, If you were a rat, I would recommend Messinas over McDonald’s.

Geez eEL, I can’t believe that you would eat at (insert your favorite restaurant here).

Just because you, for whatever reason, don’t like McD’s doesn’t mean that their food does not provide nourishment and enjoyment to others.

If you think McDonald’s provides nourishment try watching Supersize Me.  You may think twice.

OH MY GOD!!! You eat Scrapple/Twinkies/insert anything you want?  You won’t eat them if you knew what it was made from.

I didn’t say that McD’s was the best food here or everywhere. but it does provide nourishment.

According to websters.com, nourishment is
“Something that nourishes; food”.  What McD’s provide is considered food.
Maybe it’s food you do not care for, but it is food none the less.

Now if you want to talk about HEALTHY food, that’s a completely different topic.

McDonald’s is what it is, nothing more or nothing less.

It’s a place to go for a quick meal hopefully in a clean environment with a courteous staff.

If you use McDonald’s like Mr SuperSize me did, I believe he ate his 3 square meals there. Then you may be on the path of self destruction, but the same could be said for someone who drinks or smokes. It’s all about how you indulge.

wEggy: you are so right!  Who knew that eating McD’s three times a day EVERY SINGLE DAY for a month would make you fat?!  Holy crap!  Spurlock is obviously a genius… us stupid people would never be able to figure that out on our own.

Now that that’s out of the way, here’s a tip: you eat ANY food three times a day for a month and its going to mess you up.  There’s nothing wrong with taking the kids out to McD’s once or twice a month as a treat (as long as its not the Shrewsbury McD’s).

I received a hand written letter from the Area Supervisor today(Thursday). She emphasized again about giving her time to return from vacation and is asking me to check the place out at the end of the month and giving her a call. I intend to do just that. If there are changes and things are going good then I intend on holding up my end and telling her that.

If anyone else hits the place after say the 20th, post it here and I’ll be sure to get any feedback to her, positive or negative.

I must admit its the most attention this has garnered from McDonald’s since I’ve been complaining for the last 3 years.

You’re right pgarrett, I told her I stopped taking my Kids to that McDonalds and we have not stepped in that store since around September 2004. I’ve hit the Drive Thru on occasions with mixed experiences.

Always check the contents of your bag before you leave the window.  Chances are somethings missing or somethings been added to your order.

your God? huh?

brillliance! define a word by using the word… rolleyes

from m-w.com ::

Main Entry: nour·ish
1 : NURTURE, REAR
2 : to promote the growth of
3 a : to furnish or sustain with nutriment : FEED b : MAINTAIN, SUPPORT

Main Entry: main·tain
1 : to keep in an existing state (as of repair, efficiency, or validity) : preserve from failure or decline
3 : to continue or persevere in : CARRY ON, KEEP UP
4 a : to support or provide for b : SUSTAIN

McDee’s does not provide nourishment enough to suppport life. you willl die if you use their foood for continual suppport.

granted alll things bad for you [ie. smoking, drinking, eating twinkies, etc] willl killl you as welll, but it’s the speeed of deterioration that amazes me. McDee’s willl killl you offf quicker than heroin doood. scary thought. how can that be considered “foood”?

alll their meals do is put something in your bellly so you don’t feeel hungry anymore… that’s it. no nutrients, no sustenance. you’d probably be bettter offf eating 30 Twinkies… regardlesss of how their made.

just another reply, i never care what things are made from. if i like it, i like it.
...and why pikk on scrappple? scrappple rokks! oh, and i like Jell-O tooo! wink

Well nothing has changed at all.....stopped in there to grab a sandwich real quick while i was out doing some work.  Thats my first mistake, stopping in there.  Tried to eat in ordered my food went to get my drink and wait for my food.  People behind me got there food first and either sat and ate or left.  Well i stood there and waited and waited and waited.  15 mins or so later i walked out with out food and threw my drink away.  Went to Arbys walked in got serve my food within 5 mins not bad.  I sent an email to mcdonalds via the website doubt anything will happen but i remembered this thread so i thought i would share my joy for the day.

Drive Thru Machine not working again.
Why do I go there. Kids where not even with me… Arrgghh....

Previous evening… Happy Meal had fries and apples. Typically I ask for apples and I get fries. At least I got what I asked for,
I guess giving me both choices covers all of the bases.  Too bad they forgot to give me my drink.
One Free meal coming my way.
