Aside from all of the other issues that the families involved in the Amish school shootings are dealing with, I am sure they are facing some substantial medical bills.  And I am sure they do not have the money to pay those bills.  I read a quote from an Amish bishop saying that while they cannot and will not ask for donations, they will with humility accept them.  Does anyone know how to go about making donations?  Has anyone heard anything about anyone collecting?

Found this online, I would check it out prior to doing anything....

Donations to support the families affected by yesterday’s tragedy may be directed to the Nickels Mines Children Fund at:
Coatesville Savings Bank 1082 Georgetown Road Paradise, PA 17562 Phone: 610-384-8282

Their Web site is http://www.coatesvillesavings.com and there will be a place on the site shortly for electronic contributions to be given.

From website....

Two years ago, Coatesville Savings Bank opened a branch office in the village of Georgetown, approximately one mile from the Nickel Mine Amish School. We are currently constructing a larger office in the village center. The Board of Trustees and the staff of CSBank wishes to express our deepest regrets to the community of Bart Township in the wake of the tragic deaths of our neighbors’ children today. We have established a fund for all necessary help and solace for the bereaved.

Funds have been established for those who would like to donate to assist those who are affected by the tragedy at Nickel Mines School.

There is the Nickel Mines Children’s Fund and the Roberts Family Fund.  Donations can be mailed to:

Nickel Mines Children’s Fund
Coatesville Savings Bank
1082 Georgetown Road
Paradise, PA 17562

Roberts Family Fund
Coatesville Savings Bank
1082 Georgetown Road
Paradise, PA 17562

Hope that helps smile

Otter,

My apologies for not posting this information a couple of days ago.

I have started another topic mentioning where to send condolence messages to the family and support messages to the Bart Township Fire Company who was the first to respond to the call and arrive at the scene at the Southern York County All Forum.
