I have two small children and the ride to Towson is too far for regular visits.  Galleria is decent for around here but I wish it was in better shape!

Too far you say?  Its only another 5-10 minutes and its about 1000 times better then the galleria.  Actually its about the same if you consider you can drive faster on the Maryland side of 83 since the roads are a lot better.

But don’t forget to add in the time it takes to find your car in Towsontown’s ridiculous parking garage!

And that is only if you drive a car down there. Forget getting a full sized pick-up truck or van in the garage, even if you meet the height requirements, the space you might find would not allow you to even open the door far enough to get out.  You almost never can get a spot outside of the garage.

Chili’s, and Longhorn Steakhouse.  The center is currently 90% leased and committed and a grand opening celebration is planned for September 2007.

Sorry, but do we really need another Chili’s in York? Its bad enough we have 4 Ruby Tuesday’s.

Another Chili’s??? Where is the other?

Of course having more variety in the area is good, but obviously the vendors have not found it attractive enough to come here yet I guess. Some more steak joints would be nice since they always seem to be in high demand. One in the southern end of the county would be nice!

West York, where Delco Plaza used to be. There is also a new steak joint over by BJ’s and Target as well.

Lets not forget about the murders and robberies in the Towson Town Center parking lot as well.

Besides… I work in Hunt Valley, last thing I want to do is get the family and go BACK that way after work or on the weekends.

i was not aware people were murdered in the parking garage.  but i have always noticed a very strong security presence while shopping there.  they have vehicles on patrol.  i would be more concerned about the west manchester mall.  thats why its always a good idea to hang out in groups.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towson_Town_Center

A popular area high school teacher was murdered on one of the garage’s upper levels in 2004, leading some to worry that the crime in inner-city Baltimore was gaining a stronger foothold in the suburbs. After the murder, several reports of mugging as well as muggers with guns lead to several security upgrades with many firsts in mall security.

Yeah… a mall where the crime is so bad they are now known as innovators in mall security is always tops on my shopping list.
