SYC Life has a pretty basic events calendar with upcoming events displayed on the main page and a fuller calendar of events on a secondary page. I’m considering 2 options and wonder what you think (I know this community has opinions!

Option 1: Scrap the events calendar altogether in favor of either an events forum or just letting people post their events in the appropriate existing forum (as many people do now). I would then highlight selected events on the home page with a link to the forum.
Option 2: Beef up the events calendar.
I’m leaning towards one of these, but am wondering what you think would work best for SYC Life. Thanks for your help!
