Well, the parade is tomorrow.  Just wondering what everyones favorite thing about the parade is.  I personally love the little Shriners go-carts, the funky marching band from Baltimore, and of course, all the firetrucks!!!, especially the brush trucks with the big knobby tires and roll bars!  Brings out the little boy in me.

Fun stuff… I love carnival week, even the hours I have spent and will spend tomorrow picking up trash along my property. smile

This will be our first Stewartstown Parade.  We will be bringing our brand new 11 week old daughter to experience it.  I’m looking forward to the fun.

The parade starts at 4:30PM.
I would suggest you scope out a good spot before hand and get their early.

Parade did not seem as well attended this year, didn’t see the little Shriner go-cart guys either, don’t know where they were.  Beautiful day for the parade though, weather was lovely.

I wasn’t watching from Main Street so I cannot comment about the attendance. However, I can comment about the attendance on College Avenue which seemed to be pretty good.

You didn’t see the Shriners this year because they weren’t in the parade. Perhaps they had a previous commitment. Hope they participate next year.

The Baltimore Sidesteppers [the funky marching band from Baltimore] were there.

Even the fire trucks tooted their horns and rang their bells which even young kids seemed to enjoy.

You are right, it was a beautiful day for the parade and we could not have asked for better weather than presented.

The only complaint that I heard was that the parade participants ran out of candy for the kids.

That’s the problem with being so late in the parade route, the kids on College often don’t get the haul they could if they were closer to the beginning of the route smile
