We’re looking for a local farm to reserve a Thanksgiving Turkey. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I highly recommend Holrick Farms for butchering. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of the meat blows away the crap you get in the stores. Their hogs and steers are all local, pasture raised. Granted, you have to buy a large portion at once, but it is cheaper then the store when you do that. You can always split it between family and friends! They also do turkeys, chickens and capons.

Most importantly, buying from Rick supports local farmers. Same with places like Burton’s, Blevin’s and Shaw’s. The more we help them out, the better off we all are. Besides, they tend not to use antibiotics, growth hormones and large amounts of pesticides. The food is much healthier.

Well, it was our first go with Holrick Farms and I was nothing less than impressed with the quality turkey provided, turned out spectacular smile I can assure you we’ll be going back in the near future.
