I’m proposing that any and all really cool or unusual or just great outdoor decorations be reported on this site.  No specific addresses needed, maybe just a neighborhood or a view from a certain place - this is not a competition - no prizes will be awarded, however, we all might just get to enjoy the efforts of people with the spirit of Christmas, sometimes these efforts are tucked away from all of us, just because we aren’t driving by it without thinking.
Just an idea, I hope it catches on.

We always enjoy going up to Dallastown, on Duke Street just south of Rt. 74. The people there really go all out with a nice display. Normally just come home that way one night when we are out Christmas shopping in York or something.

Sometimes, Santa is at the top of the drive, handing out candy canes.

Thanks to you all for responding and making the effort to make Christmas happier for all of us.
Sometimes the best stuff is hidden, and only the Maker knows about it, but we all can be makers of holiday spirit.

I never went up the driveway. I didn’t know you could and didn’t want to be a pest (or a trespasser). But now that you told me they have a donation bucket up there, I will make sure to go up it this year.

Two mroe places to visit/see - the Markey farm located on S. George Street between Leader Heights RD and Apple Hill Medical Center on the left side of the road (you can’t miss it) - you can go ont he driveway, but you have to enter from the subdivision (Clarian Street).  I also saw a place with lots of decorations (including a ferris wheel) and lights on Country Club Road - past York College, near Richland Avenue.

We visted the lights at Leader Heights last night on our way home from shopping and boy are they wonderful!!  Hate to see his electric bill!  I have also heard about a guy in Shrewsbury that has his lights tuned to music.  I will try and pin down the location sounds like it might be pretty cool.

Okay - the Christmas lights to music are on Woodlake Court in Shrewsbury.  I’m not too good w/directions but it’s near the Gaint in Shrewsbury.  Might want to map it.  It really is cool!!!!  DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

I agree 100% with Pama.  This guy’s lights are fantastic.  We got to his house by turning left on the road across from Starbuck’s and Blockbuster (Northbrook--I think).  We followed that a while (maybe a 1/2 mile) then turned left onto Woodlake Ct.  If you just work your way through that development, you’ll find the house.  You can’t miss it!

I also want to mention that the cul de sac across from Sycamore (sorry I don’t know the name--it may be Sycamore also, or maybe Chantilear??? on the right, just past the fairgrounds) here in Stewartstown looks so great!  It seems that everyone worked together to make their neighborhood very lovely.  Well done!

I agree!  The light show and music was fantastic!  We stopped by on the way home tonight frm shopping.  Did you see Santa in the second floor window?  I hope that the traffic in/out of the circle is light enough not to annoy the neighbors.  Thank you to the family for doing this, everyone was enjoying it!

There is another house in Manchester Township where the lights are synchronized to the owner’s music that you can listen to on your car radio.  The traffic has caused a problem for the neighbors though.

What: The Witte Wonderland nightly Christmas light show
Where: 45 Burning Tree Court in Manchester Township
Times: 6 to 10 p.m.
Dates: Through New Year’s Eve. No shows Dec. 23 and 24
