FUND CREATED TO HELP OFFICER SHOT IN NECK ...

SILVER SPRING—There is now a way to help the local police officer who was shot in the neck while making a traffic stop Aug. 13. The Montgomery County Police Department received such an outpouring of concern from the community that the “Kyle Olinger Fund” was established.
Olinger was shot in the neck just after midnight last Wednesday making a traffic stop at Spring Street and Second Avenue in Silver Spring.
Olinger underwent nearly nine hours of delicate surgery to repair damage to his trachea and esophagus. The bullet remains lodged near his spinal cord, causing paralysis from the chest down.
Investigators revealed that the two suspects arrested for the shooting, Fadi Kadamani and Terrence Arthur Green, planned to commit an armed robbery that night in the area where Olinger pulled them over.
