I have several bags of good, used clothes that I would like to donate somewhere.  When I rode by the goodwill over in Shrewsbury they said they were not taking any clothing....UGH!  Before I start trying the churches, I thought I would see if anyone knew of any especially in need.  I would hate to just throw the stuff away or give it to a place that will end up doing the same!

If you’re heading south for any reason, there’s a Goodwill trailer set up in the parking lot behind the Circuit City in Timonium/Towson area...you can just pull up and hand your bags right to the guys working there.

In addition to the trailer, there is a Goodwill store on Padonia Road right off 83. Its eastbound, first on the left after the Macaroni Grill

used to work in Towson, now I’m in Owings Mills.  I know there’s a goodwill store on Reisterstown Road.  I guess I was hoping for a more ‘local’ store or donation site.  Thanks for the posts though - I wasn’t aware of either of those in Towson area.

I went to the Goodwill store in Shrewsbury this past Saturday.  The sign said they were only taking clothing and you could only drop off 2 bags.  They did not say what size bags.  I dropped of two plastic grocery store bags full of clothing.  The lady also nicely accepted 1 pair of shoes from me.

Don’t forget about the Salvation Army on Haines Road in York (next to KMart).  They will come pick up your donations.  Just call 1-800-95 TRUCK to arrange pickup.

Thanks for the information everyone...I’ve been wondering where to drop things off, too!

What about American Vets or Purple Heart? Do they come out this way?
