The Plan for Pennsylvania’s Future, also known as the School Property Tax Elimination Act of 2007, has been making headway in the state House of Representatives.  However, there are some lawmakers who are hesitant to support this legislation because they are “not sure that this is what the people want”. 

We’ve got to let them know!

The Pennsylvania Taxpayers Cyber Coalition (PTCC), of which the South Eatern Tax Reform Coalition is a member, has organized a telephone and e-mail blitz for this week, June 18–22, to let our legislators know that this is the plan that we want enacted.  Please call or e-mail Representative Stan Saylor () this week to let him know that you want this property tax elimination bill passed NOW!  Stan Saylor is a co-sponsor of the bill.  If you wish, you can have several voting-age members of your family contact Rep. Saylor individually.  Even if you responded to the letter writing request in my last post about this, PLEASE contact Rep. Saylor again during this campaign. 

This campaign has only three points:

· Tell Rep. Saylor that the Plan for Pennsylvania’s Future is the solution you want to the school funding and homeownership crisis in Pennsylvania.

· Encourage him to contact his party’s leadership with his support of the Plan for Pennsylvania’s Future and to tell the leadership that he and his constituents want school property taxes eliminated NOW. 

· Forward this email to everyone you know who has any interest in seeing property taxes eliminated in Pennsylvania.
