Hiring Part Time EMT’s

$11.00 per hour to start

Eureka is located in Stewartstown, PA along the MD/PA line. We are seeking qualified part-time EMT’s with experience to join our combination department. Our team of dedicated volunteers and part time/full time staff provide excellent care to our friends and neighbors. Volunteers and paid staff work side by side at Eureka.

Our annual call volume exceeds 800 calls and we run all modern equipment to include:

• Stryker PowerLift litters
• Stryker stair chairs
• Medtronic LifePak 1000 AEDs
• 2006 GMC Chassis with a Horton box (54-2)
• 2003 Ford E450 Chassis with a Horton box (54-1)

Two bunkrooms available for overnight shifts (2 beds in each) plus lockers. Lounge area with large screen TV, DVD player, VCR, Internet access, kitchen. We are close to many restaurants, grocery store, drug store, convenience store and library. We are a con-ed site and run frequent classes including CPR recertifications. Station is located about 4 miles from I-83 Exit 4.

Requirements:
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no criminal background
• Must have the following certifications currently:
o PA EMT-B
o CPR/AED (ARC Professional Rescuer or AHA Healthcare Professional)
o EVOC
o HazMat Awareness
o NIMS 100/700
• 1 year verifiable paid or volunteer experience running 911 calls
o Not transport service
o Must be both as a driver and as a crew chief
• High school diploma
• Commit to run at least 12 hours per month. Preference given to those that can commit to 24 hours per week.
