Just curious as to how the Al-Qaeda threat was handled in the public school system yesterday in our district.  Were parents notified?  What were the students told?

Geez, I did even hear about it at all.  Did even know there was a threat.  I even checked both the WGAL & WBAL websites throughout the day just like I always do everyday.

Didn’t hear anything about it either.  My daughter said they went outside yesterday.  (She goes to S-town elementary).  Kinda glad I didn’t know about it.  I have enough to worry about with out having to worry about what she’s worrying about.

I doubt the York School system is a big bargaining tool for Al Qaeda terrorists.  I’m glad the school system acted appropriately by using some common sense and taking basic precautions while continuing on with their school day.

I do hope they catch the moron that phoned in the threat, though.

I hope they find the caller and I hope they prosecute them.  I didn’t think the threat was real either.  And was surprised to hear about it, my husband picks up from school and he was given a letter to notify us of the threat which was handed to him by the Principal.  It explained to us what they were told and what they did.  I was wondering how it was handled in SESD because many people seemed unhappy with the handling of the ‘notebook threat’ recently, and wanted to see if anything changed with notification on this threat.

Bevy - My daughter came home with a letter yesterday from Dr. Shank in reference to the threat.
