What are you talking about, the Steelers coming into Ravens Country? This is Steeler Country. You’re in Pennsylvania, in case you haven’t noticed. I think it’s great the Steelers are coming.

Hey, Dennie, in case you haven’t noticed even though we’re in PA, we are WAY closer to the Baltimore than we are to Pittsburgh! So, go Ravens!!!

Yea, really going out and getting the most popular team in the country that just happens to be one of the state’s NFL teams...what the heck were they thinking
Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC. They have won more Superbowl titles (6), won more AFC Championship Games (7) and hosted more conference championship games (10) than any other AFC or NFC team. They have played in more AFC conference championship games than any other team and are tied with the Dallas Cowboys with 14 championship game appearances in either the NFC or AFC contests. With the exception of the 1960s which featured only three Super Bowls, the Steelers have appeared in at least one Super Bowl in every decade of the contest. The Steelers won their most recent championship, Super Bowl XLIII, on February 1, 2009.
Yeah, all the above and the fact that they are from Pennsylvania, geez, WHAT A POOR CHOICE...lol
The Steelers used to have cheerleaders several decades ago.
You don’t have to convince me what a great team the Steelers are! The Steelers have a lot of fans in York County. There is also a Pittsburgh Steeler Fan Club just outside of York that has existed for over a couple of decades.
The one thing I have to give The Steeler players credit for, is that they truly love playing football and aren’t in it for the money like all the other football team players are. The Steelers are the lowest paid football players in the nation.
I’m wishfully hoping that Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris make an appearance. They might be older than dirt as some might say, but they deserve a lot of credit for their Super Bowl wins in the past. Franco Harris continues to participate in a lot of charity events. I’m sure Terry Bradshaw also participates in a lot of charity events. I enjoy watching Terry Bradshaw appear as a guest on television programs. He is absolutely hilarious!
Judging by the amount of cars that travel to Baltimore every morning, I would say that this is Ravens country. I do not know of anyone around here that travels to Pittsburgh every morning.
Hey JH. there is a salary cap in the NFL and all teams struggle to stay under that salary cap. They are all paid the same! Try taking money away from them and and watch how fast they leave!

You have to be kidding me........right?
No! I’m not kidding! Fact is Big Ben could probably play for any team but he chose to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the duration of his capability of being able to play. I guess you didn’t read the local newspapers a couple of years ago when the story about Big Ben was published.

GO KD!!!
Pfft! There are a lot more Pittsburgh Steeler fans around this area than anyone could ever imagine! There has been a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Club in this county long before there was a Baltimore Ravens Fan Club.
BTW I’m glad you pointed it out that there are a lot of cars that travel to Baltimore every morning. I sit here scratching my head wondering why those vehicles continue to have MD plates instead of PA plates. I believe the state motor vehicle code requires that every resident of PA that owns a motor vehicle in PA must register and be licensed in PA not MD. The people who work in MD and live in PA complain about the conditions of PA roads compared to MD roads. Well if they would register their vehicles in PA as they are required to be and switch their driver’s licenses to PA rather than keep the MD licenses, there would be more money to maintain the state roads and municipal roads. Instead people continue to register their vehicles in MD and renew their driver licenses in MD. We complied with the state motor vehicle laws when we moved here almost 30 years ago having lived previously in MD for a decade, so why don’t they?
As for having a salary cap in the NFL, someone needs to do a little more research on this issue because it is obvious they don’t know what they are talking about. They are not paid the same salary as other NFL players. Pretty much similar to that of Jo Pa the Penn State Nittany Lions coach who is the lowest paid coach when it comes to the salaries of other college football coaches. VIVA LA JO PA!
GO STEELERS GO!
P.S. Gee… if the Steelers are such a bad team, why do the Steelers hold the title of having won the most Super Bowls in football’s history. It is the Pittsburgh Steelers who sport 5 Super Bowl rings not the Baltimore Ravens! Question-- Why do Baltimore Raven Fans hate the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans? The Pittsburgh Steelers are not sore losers! Why are the Baltimore Ravens known for having players who have been charged with serious crimes? That can’t be said about the Pittsburgh Steelers! Why do the Baltimore Ravens when playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers have not just the goal of trying to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, but to intentionally physically harm the key players of the Pittsburgh Steelers so as to keep Pittsburgh Steeler key players on the bench for long periods of time and even if possible keep them on the bench so they can’t play the rest of the season? That’s not good sportsmanship! That’s violence!

You’re right! It’s a shame that some Baltimore Raven fans can’t comprehend what a great honor it is to our school district for a dynamic team like the Pittsburgh Steelers to accept an invitation to participate in a charity event. It’s a shame that some Baltimore Raven fans can’t comprehend the hard efforts that were put into this event coming together by the Sports Boosters! It’s a shame that some Baltimore Raven fans have already lost focus as to the purpose of this event. It isn’t to initiate unruly behavior and participate in violence, but to raise money for our school district’s sports programs. Come on Baltimore Raven fans, why let a few begrudged fans be the one apple to spoil the entire batch of apples in the barrel!
Ok, We are 1 hour from Baltimore, 2 hours from Philadelphia, and 4 hours from Pittsburgh. If it is a Pennsylvania thing than why do you not root for Philadelphia, because it is tough to root for a team that does not win super bowls. It is easy to root for a winner!
I stick by what I said about the salary cap. I do not know what Penn State has to do with the Steelers.
Nobody said that the Steelers are a bad team. I do not want to hear anything about the Ravens taking cheap shots. Hines Ward took a cheap shot on Ed Read. It knocked him out for several games, and the NFL created a rule because of the incident. Todd Heap got injured once, he lined up so the Ravens could stop the clock and Joey Porter took a cheap shot on him. Maybe you need to do some research. Ed read and Todd Heap are key players!
I think you proved why Ravens fans do not like the Steeler fans. I did not take a shot at the steelers or the fans. You on the other hand took many shots at the Ravens. Thanks.
Lay off the Kool aid!
Not sure what Licensed cars is about but could be a good subject for another thread.

GO KD!!!
If your reasoning for calling this Ravens country is due to the proximity of Baltimore versus other NFL towns, then yes you are right. I don’t think the number of cars crossing the border for work and shopping purposes is an accurate barometer though. I would think the actual fan ratio is very close.
Steelers, Ravens or Eagles aside, I would root for the locals in this game. Go KD!
