Ok, We are 1 hour from Baltimore, 2 hours from Philadelphia, and 4 hours from Pittsburgh. If it is a Pennsylvania thing than why do you not root for Philadelphia, because it is tough to root for a team that does not win super bowls. It is easy to root for a winner!

Why does my family support the Pittsburgh Steelers? Please have a seat..... we were born and raised in Pittsburgh. I think that comment speaks for itself! 

I stick by what I said about the salary cap. I do not know what Penn State has to do with the Steelers.

Nobody said that the Steelers are a bad team. I do not want to hear anything about the Ravens taking cheap shots. Hines Ward took a cheap shot on Ed Read. It knocked him out for several games, and the NFL created a rule because of the incident. Todd Heap got injured once, he lined up so the Ravens could stop the clock and Joey Porter took a cheap shot on him. Maybe you need to do some research. Ed read and Todd Heap are key players!

I think you proved why Ravens fans do not like the Steeler fans. I did not take a shot at the steelers or the fans. You on the other hand took many shots at the Ravens. Thanks.

Whoa, don’t fault me for what is reported in the sports section of our local newspapers. Don’t fault me for what I hear coming out of the mouths of Raven players when watching a Ravens vs. Steelers football game on television. As an aside, I can read lips. (No wise cracks either!) I know sign language and can read lips because I have a god child who is hearing impaired.

Lay off the Kool aid!

Sorry to disappoint you but I don’t drink Kool-Aid. I consume clean purified water, 100% fruit juices, skim milk with my meals and occasionally indulge in a refreshing glass of cold Ginger Ale in a glass with a couple of ice cubes. 

Not sure what Licensed cars is about but could be a good subject for another thread.

I wasn’t the one that posted a comment that there are more vehicles heading south to work in MD from here than there are heading north west to work in Pittsburgh every morning. I know several people who live here and work in Washington, D.C. who aren’t Raven fans but Steeler fans. Hmmmm… sorry I can’t provide a reason as to why they support the Steelers, they just do. I also know a lot of people that live in York County who support the Dallas Cowboys. I don’t have a problem with any of that. To each his own.

I wish KD good luck!  I wish I could root for them, but my “roots” pull me towards the Steelers.  If KD was playing any other team, I would probably root for KD. As a spectator at this event, I will most likely applaud for both KD and the Steelers when either team makes an excellent play! IMHO, that is what true sportsmanship is about.

I don’t despise the Ravens. When the Ravens are playing a team other than the Steelers I root for the Ravens. 

JH, you may want to do a little more research yourself. 

Your buddy Ben was the top paid NFL player of 2008.  This didn’t leave much money for the rest of his team, explaining why you feel they are so underpaid.  As far as Ben and his ability to play anywhere, why would he when he is making those bucks with Pittsburgh?

Your beloved team has won 6 Super Bowls.  Can’t believe you got that one wrong!

Obviously your views are skewed when dealing with the Ravens.  We have seen the exact opposite of what you report.  The Steelers’ fans tend to be the sore losers!

So, the Steelers don’t have any players who have been charged with crimes?  Perhaps you should check out your team again.  Here’s a few you can start with: James Harrison, Jeff Reed, Santonio Holmes and even your buddy Ben.

Lastly, take a deep breathe and calm down.  Everyone is entitled to support whatever team they would like.  There is good and bad in all the teams.  Just suggesting that before you tell that someone else should do research on their team perhaps you should check out your own.  Remember, it is just a game!

Lets all TRY to remember this is a CHARITY EVENT, where the sports boosters are trying to raise some much needed funds to help out the KD athletes. Whether you are a Steelers fan or not I hope you ALL go out & support this event & quit your bellyachin’!

Why do Baltimore Raven Fans hate the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans? The Pittsburgh Steelers are not sore losers! Why are the Baltimore Ravens known for having players who have been charged with serious crimes? That can’t be said about the Pittsburgh Steelers! Why do the Baltimore Ravens when playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers have not just the goal of trying to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, but to intentionally physically harm the key players of the Pittsburgh Steelers so as to keep Pittsburgh Steeler key players on the bench for long periods of time and even if possible keep them on the bench so they can’t play the rest of the season? That’s not good sportsmanship! That’s violence!

I agree, let’s hope the event is a success for the district! To me, there are no winners or losers, simply good entertainment for a good cause. 

Here’s hoping that the event sells out.

Hey I heard that a guy named Ben Rothlisburger is being charged for a sexual harassment charge or something like that. That can’t be the same squeaky clean Ben that plays for the Steelers. And worst yet is this Ben guy hired the same lawyer that that thug Ray Lewis hired when he got arrested a few years ago. Say it aint so JH!!!

The Steelers used to have cheerleaders several decades ago.

Little did they know, they couldn’t have cheerleaders on the sidelines because Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t the only one who couldn’t keep his hands off the women!!!
