I was at the hearing Frogdog. With what was presented I could understand why Judge Olwert held it over for court. The bigger question is why did the Stewartstown Police bring any charges in the first place and why did they wait until 6 months later to do it. It raises a very valid question again as to if the big investigation happened because of this or is there another smoking gun in the back room of the school board. Two board members stated to at least three different community people that there was something big that was very bad that had to be investigated and we would understand by an by. One board member stated he lost several nights sleep over this before being willing to vote for the investigation. If you were at the hearing you could tell that the SRO thought the investigation was a dead issue until the report from Attorney Levin surfaced. Seems kind of strange that the school cannot make it public, but yet it was used in the court room.

It still looks like a slippery slope to me and I am staying tuned as I am sure you are. It kind of makes you wonder who is paying Dr. Shank at this time. According to what you read, it looks like nobody is paying her and if that is the case I hope someone realizes that if she is not hired by Oley Valley and has never been discharged by SESD it makes for some big time liability for SESD. Remember, SESD offered her a resignation agreement drawn up by Stock and Leader. Dr Shank signed it and agreed to it and then the board reneged on its own offer.

I think it is time for another right to know request to find out how much this circus has cost the district.

Anyone want to wager how much it might cost the district in the future?

Just Plain Truth… what is this “slippery slope” you refer to?

Not sure about the wager but I would be interested in the ‘made for television movie’

When people in high places like police officers, superintendents, school board members, or teachers do not tell the truth, and when many people are listening, watching, and paying attention they walk on a slippery slope. When no one is paying attention, the slope is not so slippery.

I have personally dealt with Dr. Shank for about 8 years. To the best of my knowledge she has never told me a lie. I have dealt with Stewartstown police officers, SE school board directors, and some teachers in South Eastern that are on the slippery slope and I know beyond a shadow of doubt that they have lied to me. The slope has always been there but it was never as slippery as it is now.

I know that most involved are watching their backs and they just have to slip once because the slope is very very slippery.

South Eastern superintendent’s employment approved in Oley Valley
I didn’t recall hearing about this. Maybe I was still hiding under a rock afraid to see what coming next.
