Some of you will be happy to know that Verizon has turned up DSL in the Stewartstown CO. Go to their website to sign up.

Well, I just talked with customer service and they said it’s still not available. I know the system is turned up. I work in the DSL group and I see the system is up. But it may take more time for all the databases to catch up. Hopefully in a couple more days you’ll be able sign up.

Apparently, it’s still not available.

Funny how vendors have fallen all over themselves now to get broadband into Stewartstown. :!: 

It is now available. Your phone line won’t qualify if it has fiber optics on it (like mine does) or if it’s too far from the CO.

If you visit a website http://www.dslreports.com you can enter in your address/phone number and the site will tell you how far your house is from the CO (Central Office) and what companies can offer DSL service.

I should note that within the Stewartstown business area and surrounding communities you also have Clearview Cable and MTWirefree offering high speed internet as well.
