This is not a “let’s bach the post office” post, however, I am very concerned about my mail service.  After dealing with some severe consequences of not recieving particular pieces of mail, I addressed my concerns with our post master.  Incredibly, things have gotten worse. Maybe if there are others dealing with the same situation, we could get together and present our concerns as a united front. This would make it more difficult to continue to deny the problem, and collectively, we could come up with a solution.
Thanks for your time,

I have not had any problems with mail service in years. From time to time I might get mail for someone else which I always return to the post office.

If you feel your complaint about your mail service has not been taken care of which it sounds like it hasn’t, fill out one of those post office complaint forms in the lobby and mail it. The postmaster’s boss will read it and do whatever they have to so that your mail service is improved.

I forgot to ask you if you are complaining that mail takes too long to reach this area or are you complaing about non receipt of your mail.

For some reason it takes 1 week to 10 days for first class mail to reach this area which is inexcusable.

I heard on the local news station several months ago and read in the local newspapers that mail service would be slow in eastern states because of mail delivered tainted with anthrax which required special equipment to process. I would like to think that since Sept. delays in mail reaching this area should be nil by now.
