Just another quick reminder that Tuesday is election day and the polls are open 7AM to 8PM.
Voters tend to think that this is an “off election year” and not that important because major offices, i.e. president, governor, state senator, state representative, etc. are not up for election. There is no such thing as an “off election year.”
Every election primary and general every year is important. This election is just as important as the candidates are people in your own community you see daily at the supermarket, etc. The candidates are not out of sight like state and federal office candidates. The candidates are the ones you get to elect who set the local taxing rate for boroughs, townships, and school district. Those you elect are the ones that oversee maintanence of roads in your municipality. The elected ones are those who look out for the health and safety of your family and you. The elected ones are those issues of concern are presented and resolved. The elected ones are liasons on your behalf with county and state elected officials.
I hope everyone keeps these things in mind and will take the time to vote Tuesday.
