Boller’s OK, needs some work.  I think Billick needs to go....just my opinion, I know I’ll be lynched for it!

I think everyone is ringing the alarm too early on Boller.  He’s only now reaching the point and # of games played where he’ll start to make vast improvements.  He’s young, has the talent to grow, but it’s near impossible to please baltimore fans with logic.  If they deal him, watch him turn into something special, so I’d like to see him back next year.  I also think while he’s not completely comfortable in the pocket, the O line and secondary has really stepped up more in the last 2 games which makes his game a whole lot better.

Billick, well, everyone hates the arrogance, but it goes along with the head coach persona he has.  I think he’s a good coach personally but the attitude really annoys me most of the time.

My $.02.

Well, Billick is back and that means that Boller is back.  I don’t think that Boller should start, he should compete for the starting position with a veteran QB.  He has had two good games but those were against soft D’s.  He has not yet proved himself, as far as I am concerned.
I would like to see things continue next year, the way that have for the last two games; that may be too much to ask, one can only hope.

Mike, I agree, to a point. Green Bay had the number 1 rated pass defense. Minnesota had the 18th ranked rush defense (23rd overall). Maybe Minnesota was a softer defense than Green Bay, but neither defense was by definition ‘Soft’. And the Vikings were playing for a playoff spot. I think Boller played as well as he could play against average to decent defenses. It remains to be seen how he will do against a Chicago or Pittsburg type defense though. I am still afraid to think that Boller has turned the corner and will become a decent QB.
Who do you think the Ravens could get as a Veteran QB to compete with Boller? I don’t think we would be much better off with Collins, even if he would be available. Phillip Rivers? I don’t much like that idea either. McNair, I hear, is going to stay with the Titans. I can’t think of anyone off hand that would fit well here.

FWIW, I like Billick’s arrogance. If you want arrogant, try Billicheck. He wins with that arrogance.

I’ve been a Boller supporter from the beginning...maybe its just my love for underdogs, or perhaps because he never seemed to be given a fair shot - the guy has been injured what? half the time he has been there? Everyone is blaming him for the bad season when he did not even play half the season…

He has looked very good the past couple of weeks, but more importantly, the offensive line has given him the time to play.

Billick is the man, IMHO. I too like his arrogance...anyone who likes to step on the media is a-ok in my book.

Now, I think a more appropriate topic of discussion at this point is whether or not Ray Lewis will be playing in Baltimore next year. His disappearing act this season, claiming to be bedridden at home due to serious hamstring surgery, and hence unable to attend the raven’s games to support his teammates, then showing up on the sidelines at the Clemson bowl game the other day really left a bad taste in many fans mouths. I also hear he is holding the team hostage in order to get yet another huge signing bonus, despite the fact he still has time left on his contract...the contract that made him the highest paid defensive player and gave hima huge bonus.

If he is demanding more money, money that could be spent beefing up the O line, or buying a top notch defensive tackle, then I say let him go to greener pastures...let Ed reed and Suggs lead the team.

Wow. Sorry for the rant. red face

raisins need to make a deal and trade ray lewis for a veteran qb.  ray has been hurt alot lately and i wonder about his heart.  i think its time for 52 to go. they should have dealt him a few years ago when ed hartwell filled in and did a great job.  the defense isn’t built around ray anymore it is strong play of the secondary.  jon kitna would be a good fit and he’s not afraid to air it out.  the ravens need to get something along with a qb unless it is an even up pro bowler for pro bowler.  philip rivers isn’t the answer what has he done.  maybe ray for drew brees.  at least with boller you know what you have thus far rivers is unknown.

ray is almost hurt as often as duce staley for the steelers.  what rays salary?  6-8 million to stand on the side line.

maybe the charm city could wrap ray and miguel tejeda in a deal together.
