I moved to Stewartstown in 1974. I left in 1991 when I was 21. I have lived in Ephrata, York, and parts of Northern Virginia. I always wanted to move back because I always found my new homes missing something.

Today I figured out why I moved back. I had to go to the Post Office today to send some care packages to a friend in Kuwait. I managed to get a flat while there. A nice gentleman came in and offered me a can of Fix a Flat so I could take care of my problem. He disappeared before I could get a name or address.

Although the Fix a Flat didn’t work out, it did give me enough time to get a look at the problem and change out the tire (with some help from Gordy’s).

Thank you for a kind welcome back to Stewartstown. It is great to be back.

Welcome back Alex!

In case the person who offered to help you with your flat isn’t on the internet and doesn’t see your message, there are two ways to try to find out who he is-- (1) Ask one of the post office employees, they have great memories, and (2) Write a letter to the local newspapers, i.e. York Daily Record, York Dispatch, Delta Star, and Weekly Record thanking the fellow. Someone is bound to read the letter, possibly the person who helped you or someone else who might know the person who helped you.

Best regards,

JJH
