I wanted to let everyone know about a great event that happens bi-annually to benefit the animal shelter I work for. Animal Rescue, Inc. (located at the MD/PA line) is holding its’ Pennsylvania version of their “Dog’s Day in the Park” at John Rudy Park in York, Pa. on Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The event is open to everyone, but admission is free for those who collect pledges.  ($5 admission fee if you choose not to collect pledges).  There are some great prizes available to those who collect the most pledges.  The first 200 people to check-in with $25 or more in pledges receive an Animal Rescue T-shirt!)

Don’t have a dog?  Not a problem.  Many of the wonderful dogs up for adoption at the shelter will be at the event.  You can ‘rent’ them to take them on a much anticipated walk for $5/half hour.  Please note we will not be adopting dogs out at the event, but you can come and ‘test-drive’ a dog!

For those of you who have participated in the Maryland, don’t fret, it’s still on and is held at Oregon Ridge in September and I’ll post that info when it’s available.

See below for just some of the great times to be had at this event.

If you need further details on this event, directions, flyers, wish lists for donations or pledge forms, please contact me here by PM or at .  You can also contact the shelter directly at 993-3232
