      <summary>I recently flew to Missoula, Montana for my daughter&#8217;s graduation from photography school and drove back to Southern York County with her.&amp;nbsp; On the way home we visited at a few places of interest, like Devil&#8217;s Tower in Wyoming, the Black Hills, and my favorite, the Badlands in South Dakota.</summary>

      <title>A long line of love</title>

      <content type="text/html" mode="escaped" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>My wife&#8217;s Dad died this year from cancer.&nbsp; He was 93 years old.&nbsp; Her Mom passed away last year.&nbsp; She was 87.&nbsp; For the first time in our married lives--and of Lauree&#8217;s entire life--New Year&#8217;s Eve will not be spent with the extended family gathering around Mom and Dad (just Dad last year) at &#8220;the farm&#8221; in northwest Pennsylvania.&nbsp; It&#8217;s the end of an era, but not an end to their legacy.

      <content type="text/html" mode="escaped" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>Many people, including residents of Southern York County--at least us &#8220;older&#8221; ones--can remember Flip Wilson, a seventies comedian who was at times hilarious.&nbsp; One of his routines was his rendition of Geraldine, who would explain her indulgences--say an expensive shopping spree--by saying &#8220;The devil made me do it.&#8221;  It was a very funny routine, but of course she was not a real person, and not to be taken seriously.

      <content type="text/html" mode="escaped" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>Several months ago the issue of teaching intelligent design along with evolution (neo-Darwinism, the dominant theory of evolution taught today) came to the forefront when the Dover Board of Education decided to implement that change in their curriculum.&nbsp; Probably all of us in Southern York County have read articles and editorials about it or have heard it on the news.

      <content type="text/html" mode="escaped" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>I love the Dr. Seuss book <i>Green Eggs and Ham</i> and can remember reading it often to our kids when they were small.&nbsp; But that&#8217;s not what this is about.&nbsp; No, I&#8217;m talking about spam, and it doesn&#8217;t matter if it&#8217;s green or some other color.&nbsp; And just to be clear, this isn&#8217;t the spam that you eat.&nbsp; No sir, what I&#8217;m referring to is that uninvited email that unscrupulous advertisers send to my (and your) email account every day.
