Bailey Springs fire

Firefighters battled a two alarm fire in the Bailey Springs development in Stewartstown, Thursday December 15, 2005. The fire started around 4 a.m. in a nine home building under construction in the 600 block of Crestview Road.

According to Chief Ira Walker of Eureka Fire Company, the building was fully engulfed in flames as emergency personnel arrived on scene. The firefighters used a defensive approach, using two aerial trucks to douse the fire. The fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. At least 10 companies responded on the call.
