Missing boater’s body foundPolice have recovered the body of a Pennsylvania boater who had been missing since late November, the Department of Natural Resources announced yesterday. The body of Thomas L. Davis, 52, of Stewartstown was discovered Tuesday afternoon by a passing boater near Rocky Point, Md., on the southwest side of Hart-Miller Island, Natural Resources Police spokesman Cpl. Ken Turner said. Police recovered and identified the body and notified next of kin. The body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. As weather permitted, recovery crews had been conducting daily surface searches for Thomas’ body since he was reported missing on Nov. 29. Thomas’ 25-foot cabin cruiser was found later that morning, aground on the west side of Hart Miller Island. He had left from Middle River the previous day for a fishing trip. Hart-Miller Island is in the Chesapeake Bay, near the mouths of the Middle and Back rivers in eastern Baltimore County.
